This year, our company together with our Ukrainian partner VISICOM participated at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona 2024, which took place from February 26 to 29. This is a key event for the telecommunications sector, demonstrating revolutionary innovations and collaborative efforts to shape the future of mobile communications.

We presented our digital cartographic products for 5G network planning and smart city development, along with state-of-the-art algorithms for processing geodata using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs):

  • Digital Terrain Model and Digital Surface Model
  • 2D and 3D Building Footprints
  • 3D Vegetation
  • 5D Models
  • 2D Land Use/Clutter
  • 2D and 2.5D solution for nationwide coverage
  • Population Maps
  • High-Precision Roads and Infrastructure Data
  • Hydrography

VISICOM’s 2D and 3D geodata produced from the latest satellite imagery result in detailed, reliable, and accurate maps of the real world. Our customized high-quality digital models empower telecom companies to significantly enhance project performance, facilitating RF-spectrum management, spatial calculations, and spectrum monitoring.

MWC Barcelona 2024 served as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation, showcasing the mobile industry’s collective efforts to drive positive change and shape a more connected and sustainable future. With transformative technologies like 5G and AI at the forefront, the event laid the groundwork for a new era of mobile communications, characterized by innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.

The exhibition featured pavilions from 35 countries, with 2,700 representatives taking part. The total number of visitors reached 101,000 over 4 days. It is worth noting that 59% of the visitors were related to the mobile sector, which makes this exhibition particularly relevant for the telecoms market. Over 1,100 speakers and opinion leaders spoke at the exhibition over the 4 days, which means that every exhibitor or visitor could find a relevant topic and listen to a speaker.
